My husband and I stayed here 15 years ago. I think the hotel was fairly new then. Decided to try it again with our kids for their first trip to Jekyll. It still looks brand new. The hotel was clean and well taken care of. Updates were being made while we were there to things that to us looked fine. The staff was super sweet. I went to get pizza for lunch and was down the hallway. One of the staff members saw me and hit the elevator before I got there, so it was arriving as I got there. It's the little things. Food was also great. It was great to have lunch by the pool one day. Prices were reasonable for a hotel. You can tell this hotel is taken care of. Chlorine levels were checked one afternoon while we were there. It was great to see how things were taken care of. Biggest bonus is our bill ended up being a $100 less than we were originally quoted by a third party. Will definitely be back!!!

Renovations appear to be complete and staff is friendly and very helpful. Being away from city center—and as one of the last accommodations on the road—the beach is uncrowded and gave quite a private feel. The fire pit makes an evening outside inviting. We didn’t use the pool but it’s kept clean. Tall primordial forest dune trees shade enough of the outdoor area to keep the afternoon temperature very pleasant. The serve yourself breakfast had much variety and the lemon-poppyseed scones were a treat! Ask for a to go bag if it looks like you’ll miss breakfast :). We had chairs but the offer of chair & umbrella rentals is a nice touch.

The hotel was close to the beach, but with no beach views. We came with two children, a 7 year old and a baby. The hotel was very family friendly. My daughter loved the beach, but my son preferred the pool. We were there for July 4th. We didn't go see the fireworks, but many families did and said you could see them from the beach access. We stayed at the pool while everyone else watched the fireworks. the pool area was fantastic. The beach was not too crowded at all. I was thankful it was away from the main area of hotels on Jekyll Island. That set this hotel apart.

Private beach access and showers outside pool area The hotel island shuttle was a nice surprise. Great breakfast options, from waffles, sausage, and eggs to fruit, pastries, cereal, and more. The hotel location is in a private setting, nestled in amongst the oak trees. There is plenty of parking space.
